Quiet and away from the tourist track, though still close to the central plaza. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with great daily cleaning and beds made. The shower had scalding hot water, a rare treat in Peru. A hidden gem.

The owner was very cordial, and the hostal has a large veranda looking out over a beautifully tended garden. A quaint place near the city center.
