The quiet setting made it easy to sleep well, and the location worked perfectly for starting and finishing our hikes. We also appreciated that dinner was available, especially when we arrived late and tired. The mountain views are breathtaking, and breakfast was just what we needed for hiking days, with local cheese and bread. The staff treated us so well, shared useful knowledge about the region, and packed us delicious sandwiches for our hikes. We had a spectacular stay at La casa de Santiago.

We stopped for a lovely coffee at La Casa de Santiago after hiking up Colca Canyon. The owner was kind enough to let us use his mobile hotspot. Brilliant hospitality!

After our two-day Colca Canyon trek, we had breakfast here and relaxed in the beautiful garden. I left some clothes behind, and the staff were so kind and helpful. They sent them on an overnight bus to Arequipa, where I could pick them up.

I only came in for a mango drink. There were several bits of plastic in mine, though my friend's drink was fine. I told the staff and expected not to be charged for it, but they said it was pulp. You can tell pulp from plastic. They still expected me to pay for the whole thing. I expected more from a three-star hotel.

Edwin was so lovely and helpful, and made our stay really easy. The location was perfect for starting and finishing the trail. Our room was just right, and the bathroom was nice, with hot water. Breakfast was really, really good, especially the eggs, avocado, and nice coffee.
