The breakfast is included, it’s good, and it changes from day to day. Service is excellent, and the old Spanish house is very accommodating. It’s on a quiet street, four blocks from Plaza de Armas, with a good coffee shop right on the corner. The bathrooms are small and don’t have a cubby for shampoo and things, but for the price it’s excellent.

It’s a traditional wooden house with beautiful details, and the location is great, three blocks from the main square and one from the central market. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive, and breakfast was very good too. There’s hot water in the shower and laundry facilities.

Everything else was fine, but they charge far too much for a dirty sheet. They should have staff who specialize in the breakfast buffet.

The courtyard gives Casa Bonita a lovely colonial feel, and the whole hostel is well kept. I chose it for a trip with my parents because their comfort mattered most. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and the staff were always happy to help. It’s only a few blocks from the main square on Jr. Pisagua. Breakfast came with the stay, with a good variety and some local snacks.
