The location is only half decent, and although the room was comfortable enough, it was only peaceful in the evening. During the day, staff slammed doors, talked over radios, and shouted in the corridors. It went on constantly and seemed unnecessary in a small operation. The hotel should spend more time training staff to be considerate and less time banging around and being rude. At checkout, we were kept at reception until someone had checked the room, which felt unnecessary and stressed us out as we were trying to catch our bus. We wouldn’t stay again because of the staff’s behavior. From the moment we arrived, I had bad vibes. We’d arranged to leave our bags before check-in, but when we went to confirm, a very rude woman with glasses had no idea about it and made us feel insignificant as guests. That’s not acceptable for a hotel.

We left immediately and booked an Airbnb apartment for much less. We didn’t even get into the room: when we tried to check in, the man at reception sat on his phone and ignored us. After about 15 minutes, I asked what was wrong. He kept looking at his phone, then handed over the room key and TV remote without a word, and showed me a message saying the price would be higher than our reservation because Booking.com had offered a special rate. They said we owed more than the reserved price. The reception service was so rude.

We cancelled and left without ever getting to the room. Reception ignored us and stayed on their phone for about 15 minutes, refusing to respond. Once they finally acknowledged our booking and went to hand over the keys, they tried to explain that the room cost more in cash than the price on Booking.com.

The room had the basics and the price was good for what you get. It could use table lamps, since ours had none, and the TV could be a little bigger. There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if your suitcases are very large or heavy. The location is good, close to the main square, market, bus stop, and transportation agencies.
