Hostal Santa Apolonia

The location made it easy to get around, right across from the main square. Staff were friendly and helpful, and my single room was clean, quiet, and cozy. It was small, but had all the basics.

The staff were so professional, and everything was spotless. I especially loved having tea in the room and a hot tub. The location is fantastic, and I loved the facilities. I’d go back a thousand times. Absolutely adored the place 💕

The staff are really friendly, and I appreciated how quiet, clean, and well located the hostel is, right across from Cajamarca's main square. The rooms are small but comfortable, with carpet, and the clean bathroom has a hairdryer and looks recently remodeled. There are maintenance details that need attention: peeling paint, the door, the safe, and an older minibar with black soot. A double room was 170 soles on a long weekend and 130 soles otherwise, with no breakfast included. It’s a pleasant place, though at that price I expected a bit more. I checked other places nearby and doubles were 130-150 soles, so that seems to be the going rate. For tourists who mainly need somewhere to sleep, it works well. I wouldn’t choose it for business travel.

Even with the temperature dropping to 7 degrees Celsius at night, I never felt cold, which surprised me since I'm very sensitive. The rooms were warm, cozy, and comfortable. Excellent place.
