Getting to Plaza de Armas took us about 15 minutes on foot. Traffic from people and cars made it take longer than the distance suggested. The hostel sits right beside the street market, with sellers and their goods along the roadside. There are several pharmacies just outside, and walking through the market is interesting, though it gets overcrowded. Our room on the fourth floor was tidy, clean, and had a comfortable bed. They provided extra blankets without us asking, knowing it can get colder at night. We also had roof access and went up to watch the New Year fireworks. It was a refreshing, comfortable place to hang out.

Internet cafes are right across the street, and San Antonio market and Otuzco are very close. The city center is nearby too, about five blocks from Plaza de Armas. Prices are good for the standard quality, and you can catch a small moto-taxi from here to any destination.
