Richard Lopez is an excellent person, very friendly, and willing to go out of his way to help. I’m writing because I think some things need upgrading, not to put Mr. Lopez down. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hostels and hotels around the world, and I value cleanliness and comfort, while he seems to value saving money. Maybe it’s a cultural difference. The room was a good size, but there was no heat, and the blanket was so thin it couldn’t keep me warm. I caught a cold during my stay at Lopez house. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and sometimes didn’t work. I think there is 5G, but he kept it for his family, so the guest Wi-Fi needs an upgrade. The shower was barely lukewarm and the water ran extremely slowly. I think he controls the flow to save costs, but that could make guests catch cold. The toilet didn’t flush properly because there wasn’t enough water pressure. I’d already told Mr. Lopez, but he didn’t feel it needed fixing. I think this is another case of saving water at the expense of customers.

Nancy and Richard made such an effort to make our stays great. It’s become THE place we stay whenever we go to Peru. They accommodated our late check-in, and on checkout day we could leave our luggage there until it was time to go. Local buses are nearby, and Ubers and taxis are available too. I like the area; it feels like a more authentic experience of Peru. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Ricardo and Nancy gave us wonderful service and communicated well, with quick replies. Ricardo also pointed us to some good restaurants nearby. The airport is very close, and Ricardo’s transport services were a great addition to the stay. I strongly recommend them!

The hosts were welcoming and pleasant, and my room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included, and the airport pickup was very convenient. If you need a SIM card in Peru, ask them about one. Highly recommend!

We left some of our luggage there while we did different things in Peru. The staff were friendly and helpful, and communication was easy with an immediate reply every time. It’s within walking distance of the airport, which we did twice and always felt safe doing.
