Hostal Sumak'usi

The location is convenient, with markets and a shopping mall within walking distance. A taxi ride to Juliaca airport takes about 10 minutes, or around 15 minutes by colectivo on route B-1. My host was kind, friendly, and always willing to help with information. My Spanish isn't very good, but she communicated with me effectively using Google Translate. I expected to stay one night, but my flight was canceled and I had to extend my stay. After the stressful airport situation, she welcomed me warmly when I got back, and I felt relieved and at home.

The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the Peruvian-inspired painting and the small touches like a towel, hangers, and shampoo. The hostal had everything I needed. What made my stay especially memorable was Beatriz's kindness. After a long, exhausting bus ride from Bolivia, I arrived with food poisoning. She welcomed me warmly, saw how sick I was, and brought me medication and hot tea right away. When I asked where I could get something light to eat, she offered to make homemade chicken noodle soup if I bought chicken. It was just what I needed. She also greeted me with coffee in the morning and helped arrange a taxi to the airport for my flight. I can't say enough good things about this place and Beatriz. It felt like a little piece of heaven in Juliaca.

Beatriz explained the easiest way to reach the hostel and helped with anything I needed. It's well located for the airport, and getting there from Puno is easy. Breakfast is available too. My room was clean and had everything I needed, and I had a really nice stay.

The owner was very friendly, and the accommodation was good.
