The room was okay and service was so-so. The location was the problem: people gather in the Plaza de Armas, and you can hear all their noise through the night. The police should do something about it. In Arequipa, the Plaza de Armas is quiet at night.

There was a gap in the bathroom wall connecting to the next room, so unpleasant smells and noises came through. The bathroom had no place to hang anything or even set down soap, and the toilet seat was missing. The entrance door also had gaps that made it easy for someone outside to see in, and it should have been sealed. My room was very small and hot. A little fan wasn't enough, and with no skylight and a metal structure in the middle, there was hardly any airflow. It was a very bad experience.

There isn't an elevator, and they don't provide towels or a shower mat. The tiles are slippery, and the synthetic-feeling linens build up a lot of static. At night, the noise made it impossible to sleep if your windows face the main square: sirens, music, barking dogs, and furniture being moved around in the top-floor cafe in the middle of the night. I wouldn't recommend it.

For the price, we felt totally ripped off. The service was horrible, and the noise was awful. We could hear everything, and there wasn't even a fan. There was no hot water or internet either. The reviews made the breakfast sound extensive, but there was only one option when we went. We politely asked if there was another juice, and he replied, "That's what it is."
