The views and accommodations were lovely, and breakfast was included. It’s an easy walk to the main town, yet far enough away to feel fairly peaceful. A great base for seeing the waterfall. Big thanks to Gocta Miradors for fitting our group of six in at the last minute!

The hosts were lovely and happy to chat, if you want, about cocachimba and cataractas. You can also arrange excursions from there, including Kuelap. The location is right at the start of the Gocta path. The breakfast was the best we had in Peru, and eating among colibri, ducks, dogs, and the other animals felt magical, almost like a honeymoon. Our huge room had a very big, comfortable bed and a breathtaking view. You mostly hear animals, but that’s part of being in Peru, where roosters and barking dogs can wake you anywhere. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. Five out of five for the room, breakfast, hosts, and location. The only sad part was not staying longer. We’ll definitely come back!
