Breakfast was one of the best parts, with fresh hot dishes as well as fruit, coffee, and tea. The staff were so kind and ready to help, and the on-site laundry was convenient, though there were other options close by. Our room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and they provided a heater for the cooler nights. The shower took a little while to heat up, then had great pressure and just the right temperature. The colonial-style hotel has a lovely courtyard garden and a balcony with city views. It's an easy walk to the main square and nearby restaurants, while still feeling peaceful. I'd happily stay again.

They only told us on WhatsApp that the hotel was closed after we contacted them on several platforms and heard nothing back. We'd booked an April stay almost four months ahead, and I happened to notice a review saying renovations had closed the place. We had to find another hotel just two weeks before our trip. I understand renovations can run late, but an earlier email or WhatsApp message would have made a big difference. It felt like they might never have told us otherwise.

The courtyard is pretty and the place has a local feel, but the amenities are sparse. Our mid-July stay was far too cold: the room was freezing, even sitting on the commode was uncomfortable, and the shower water was lukewarm at best. It's also on a busy street where cars drive along the cobbles at all hours, so we slept badly. I'd only stay here in temperate weather.
