Hotel Kalu

The street vendors are really noisy because of where the hotel is. Also, they shouldn't pass the card payment fee on to customers. That's bad.

Nothing worked well for me here. There was no Wi-Fi, the hot water didn't work, and it was too noisy. They never provided controls, and reception kept making excuses about fixing things. Then they overcharged me when I left, even though everything had already been charged when I checked in and cleaning isn't something you should pay for. The elevator to the 6th floor was always broken. Cable TV costs extra, too. Terrible hotel, with cheaper and better options elsewhere.

I arrived after paying a 50% deposit, but my reservation wasn't listed, or they said they "couldn't find" it. From there, the whole stay went badly: cramped rooms, no hot water at all, terrible service, and incompetent reception staff. A complete disaster. I absolutely don't recommend this place.

The rooms were clean, and the hostel was comfortable and central. The street stays busy, so it didn't feel too dangerous. The staff were very friendly, and there was Wi-Fi and hot water. My only complaint is there's no cable, so it's not a great choice if you like watching TV.
