The room was nice and clean, and the shower had hot water. I spent one night at the Hostal (Hotel). It's around a 15-20 minute walk from the main city center. The staff don't speak English, but they still try to help if you have questions.

Hot water and a TV, and the mainplace is close enough to walk to. A quiet, nice Hotel for the priceclass.

There was a drunk man asleep at reception, and the service was poor. Customers aren't treated well. The place smelled terrible and didn't look good. The prices are reasonable, but the area of Chiclayo seemed dangerous based on what we observed and what locals said.

We were satisfied with the service during our 2 days there. The person in charge was very attentive and a great human being. Rooms are available at a modest price, and it's only 15min from the center. Highly recommended. :)

On Balta Avenue, this is a very welcoming place, and the price is very reasonable. The young man was very friendly and gave us directions for exploring other places. Excellent hotel and top-notch service.
