Breakfast was the best part: there was a good range of food and the views were amazing. It could have been warmer, though. It was -1° outside and felt like 18°-19° indoors. The room itself was a mediocre stay. The Wi-Fi barely reached 1 Mbps on a weekday, so I had to use my phone's internet. The shower temperature felt like a lottery, and the hair dryer in the bathroom was so clogged it couldn't stay on for more than a minute. There were towels but nothing for the floor, and the shower curtain let water escape, so stepping out was slippery and wet. We were expected to operate the electric heaters ourselves. I knew how they worked, but my wife didn't, and a simple instruction sheet with a suggested setting would have helped. There was a notice on the wall saying dirty towels would cost 30 soles to clean. The bed also had electric blankets, but we didn't use them because the instructions were limited and said not to adjust them without staff. On the ground floor, one window faced where visitors could look straight in, like a zoo, and the other faced the street. I closed both for privacy. The location wasn't ideal either: the nearest shop for basics like tissues or water was a 12-minute walk. That's not far in itself, but we arrived around 10 pm and had to get up at 5 am, so I was too exhausted to go out. I'm not sure the place deserves three stars. The food helps, but the room was only mediocre.

There are electric heaters and heated blankets, which were useful. The rooms are on the small side but have charm, and the hotel itself is beautiful with nice views over town. The bathroom could use more ventilation. We had a good experience overall.

The food was the worst I had in a month in Peru. The soup tasted like heated-up Knorr soap. The meat was pricey, really dry, and tough. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, the hair dryers didn't work, and the hotel is far from town.

You may have to eat dinner at the hotel, since the 30-minute walk into town has no lighting. The hair dryer in my room didn't work, and the one from reception got hot and shut off every two minutes.

The architecture and landscaping are beautiful, with lots of thoughtful details in the rooms, and the staff gave us nice service. My only real complaint was room 106, which had no ventilation and no window I could open. The shower humidity stayed all night, and our swimsuits from the hot springs were still soaking wet in the morning.
