The room was clean, the bed was good, and it had an ensuite shower and toilet. The woman who checked us in was extremely helpful and really motherly, and the staff were very friendly. A couple of things didn’t work well: the shower was cold, which is a real issue at 3500m altitude, and room no12 had a bad sewage smell from the drain pipes, so you may want to avoid it. The TV had cable but no English channels to switch to.

The hosts were warm and friendly, and breakfast was very good. Our room and bed were quite big and comfortable. The tap water was lukewarm or cold, though that wasn’t a big problem for us. It’s outside the town centre, but easy to reach on foot.

The simple breakfast was good, and we liked having access to the kitchen and a pleasant outdoor terrace to relax on. We stayed a couple of days before and after hiking in Colca Canyon, and the landlady was friendly and very helpful. The WiFi was poor, so staff let us switch rooms to try to get a better connection, though it still wasn’t great. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Our hosts were incredibly attentive and helpful, and the room was nicely decorated and had a TV. The hot water wasn’t working, unfortunately, so we spent the morning at the thermal springs instead. They’re a scenic half-hour walk away. We also had some quality time with their Llama.
