It was so peaceful staying just outside Puno, with lake and mountain views, no noise, and the small, quaint town of Chicuito close by. A collective taxi goes right past on the front street, so getting around is very cheap. I was super pleased with my stay, a perfect reboot after visiting the lake. The countryside and rock formations around Hostel Casa Blanca are gorgeous, too. The place is clean, safe, and really comfortable, with modern touches and useful amenities: hot water, a comfy bed, a heater, free coffee, and breakfast. The room had a good bed and hot water, and we were given a tasty breakfast and some coffee. The host is kind and helped arrange transportation to a sacred site and the little town of Chicuito, just two minutes away by collective taxi. The owner is a very good person. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Puno, and the quiet, lake and mountain views make the stay nearby feel like good value. I'm very happy I got to rest here.

The place is very clean, and the woman who runs it is the nicest in Peru. She's really on top of things. Stay here if you don't want to stay in Puno. 🤙

Nice people and good wifi :) We paid 70 soles for a matrimonial room, while camping costs 37 soles.

We arrived in our motorhome, and the campsite had everything we needed. Gregoria was excellent with her hospitality and brought two delicious Peruvian dishes right to our vehicle. She gave us a safe, clean, comfortable place at a great value. I highly recommend it.

The rooms are really spacious, and breakfast was very good. Cleanliness and service were excellent. It's a very good hostel on the outskirts of Puno, which makes it super quiet.
