Nice staff and a good room.

At least the room was clean. It's advertised as having hot water, but there wasn't any. The kitchen was really just an attempt at one, with only a sink. Although the room is meant for five people, there was just one chair, two bedrooms, and a single fan. We asked for another fan, and they kindly gave us one that was a little broken but still worked. When we asked to see the hot shower, the woman tried to check it, then left us waiting and said she'd gone downstairs to look into it. She never came back or updated us.

The room was large, but it wasn't very clean, and there were cockroaches. The welcome also felt unfriendly. It's fine for one night, though it's quite far from the city center. Honestly, not great.

For a stay in San Joaquín, Ica, Peru, Hotel Roma is two blocks from Picasso Perata Stadium. I found it comfortable and clean, with attentive, friendly service. The standout for me was the sense of security for guests. A good place to stay while traveling south through Ica, the city of eternal summer.
