The owner and host made our stay with their hospitality. This lodge is in a peaceful part of Peru, close to the quaint town center and a hiking trail with views over the town and nearby communities. It's a lovely place to rest if you're worn out from the big cities. I'd highly recommend it and would visit again if my travels bring me back here. A real gem.

We booked a Colca tour and accommodation for my family, and our hosts were helpful, kind, and respectful. Our host arranged dinner, and it was delicious. My only regret is staying just one night. I wish we'd booked a longer tour, since my kids and I loved the nearby thermal baths, and the beautiful Colca Valley deserves more than two days of exploring. Thanks to our hosts at El Portal de Qopuy for helping us and making us feel welcome. I miss the area already and hope we can return soon.

Gonzalo at the front desk made our trip special. We had a fire in the evening and got to chat with the other guests. The rooms were nicely decorated and had everything we needed. I happened to be here during a town festival, and the hotel was handy for getting around. It's close to the town square, a hidden gem in Coporaque, and I'd recommend it to anyone staying around Colca Canyon.
