Andino Boutique Hotel

The historic sights in central Cusco are all within walking distance, and there are lots of nearby restaurants with affordable prices that can help save some money. The hotel is also very close to the center. We spent two days here, and the staff were friendly, especially Mr. Alex, who helped answer many of our questions. The place was very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It had the comforts and services we needed. We had a very good stay.

Jessica (the owner) welcomed me warmly when I booked my four-night stay on the spot. She understood what I needed and made sure I got the experience I wanted from the hotel. The room was spacious, cozy, very clean, and quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and a nighttime temperature that suited me. There was hot running water all day, too. Because I had early trips, I usually chose the breakfast to-go. Ana served me on my last day and was so friendly, and the food was really yummy. All the staff were accommodating and kind, including when I needed extra toilet paper and towels. The location worked well: one minute from the bus to Ollantaytambo and a supermarket, and about 10 minutes from the main square. WiFi was very good, but there are different boxes on each floor, so make sure you pick the right one. I'd happily stay again and highly recommend it.

Hernan, our host, arranged taxis at local prices, without adding a premium. The mini market right next door was handy, and it was a nice 10-15 minute walk into the center. The top floor was quieter than the second. Staff were brilliant, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was a decent size, modern, and very clean, though the bed linen was strangely all synthetic. Breakfast was basic but good.

The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the hotel is near the bus stop for Ollantaytambo. But you can hear the halls and lobby from the rooms, and plenty of Cusco tours start around 4:00-4:30 am. Some guests had their door open and were making a lot of noise very early. I asked them to close it, but they didn't. They complained to the owner, who then spoke to me as if he didn't want me staying there anymore. I felt sad that he blamed me instead of them, even though I'm sorry they took it out on him.
