Hotel Raymi

When we came back to the room, the door was wide open and all our belongings were inside. Without telling us, they’d treated the carpet with contact adhesive and left the room unattended and open. They expected us to stay despite the strong smell. We only got moved after insisting on a room change, and the replacement was less good than what we’d paid for.

We arrived early after an overnight bus, and one of the ladies let us have breakfast from the buffet while we waited for our room. We’d asked for somewhere quiet and got exactly that. The room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, with heating and hot showers. Breakfast was one of the best hotel buffets we’ve had in South America. The service was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Our bed and the cleaning staff were superb, and the rest of the staff were very helpful too. The hotel is on a busy one-way street, and our room was near reception, the patio, and the stairs to the second floor, but noise wasn’t an issue. It was very clean, the internet was very good, and the main square was close. Stores for nearly every need were nearby. Breakfast had a large selection, and staff kept the area clean and organized.

We’d stay here again. The location was handy, close to the Plaza Mayor de Cusco, and staff were friendly and accommodating. The lobby also had complimentary coca and muña, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was wonderful.
