Casa Cavassa Centro Histórico Cusco

We stayed in two different room styles on two separate nights, and both were cute and clean. Breakfast was provided in the morning, and the showers had great water pressure. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the Cusco plaza. The owners and staff were very friendly and the service was great. It stays locked, so it felt safe; after check-in they give you a key to come and go as you like. The one drawback was the toilets, which had low pressure and didn't flush very well. There are signs explaining how to use them.

The host was so thoughtful and looked after everything we needed. Our group of six fit comfortably in the large room, and having a kitchen and fridge meant we could store groceries and cook. The hotel sits between the market and plaza, which worked perfectly for us. We were thrilled with our stay, and breakfast was great too. One of our favorite hotels ever.

We spent five nights here across two rooms, and both were cozy, lovely, and clean. What really made the stay special was how warmly the hosts treated us. They got up before dawn to see us off for our bus and Uber rides, gave us gloves when it was cold, packed water bottles, and kept checking that we had everything we needed. They made us feel like family in a new country, and the service was so good. The two sweet cats won us over too. We never expected to miss our hotel hosts while traveling, but we do. We'll come back!

The rooms were cleaned every day, and the beds were warm and comfortable. We also loved having free tea in the lobby, which, along with the breakfast area, was furnished with distinctive, beautiful pieces. The women working here were all kind and helpful. When we had an early start, they prepared breakfast bags ahead of time, and they quickly sorted out any problems, including when we accidentally left a valuable item behind. We could walk everywhere in Cusco's city center from the hotel, saving on transport. The friendly hotel cats were a lovely extra. I'd recommend Casa Cavassa for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming stay in Cusco.
