The owner is super friendly and helpful. It seemed like low season when I was there, and he let me check out late so I could take my time. It's a hostel, so it's a bit old and not in the best shape, but for the price it was perfect. I had a great time at the beach in Pacasmayo!

I have such fond memories of staying with Otto in the early 2000s. He warned me not to feed the stray dogs because they would wait outside each morning and growl at the locals. They followed me all the way to the point, then watched my gear while I surfed. People said I was the only gringo who could safely leave anything on the beach. Love Pacasmayo, Otto, and my old K9 friends ❤️
