Cedros Cusco Inn

The included breakfast feels like an illusion when every plan in Cusco starts before breakfast is served. In the bathroom, the shower and toilet are side by side, so the whole area gets wet when you shower, and figuring out how to get hot water is a puzzle. The place is very basic. Apparently in Cusco, a hostel is just somewhere for couples to hang out.

It was really comfortable spending the night here, with good service and a great night's sleep. The place was very clean, from the spotless rooms to the bathroom, bedspreads and towels. Everything was great.

The staff are very friendly, and although the rooms are small, the bed is comfortable. It’s a small place with only a few rooms, and they clean daily and wash the towels each day. Still, I’d only recommend it for a short stay of one or two days. It’s not close to the city center, so you have to walk, and at night it’s better to take a taxi because the area is dark. If you leave very early or get in late, there’s nowhere nearby to buy food, and they’ll only offer tea. The water is another problem. Hot water doesn’t work well, and reporting it doesn’t get it fixed. It also depends on the electricity, so when the power goes out, there’s no hot water.

The city tour won me over, along with the history and traditions. The food is excellent, though handicrafts are a bit expensive. Above all, bring some cash in dollars.
