Centenario Inn

The Wi-Fi was very weak, and there was no sound insulation. We could hear even the slightest movement on the top floor.

The location and price worked really well for us, and the service and attention from staff were outstanding. The rooms could use a little TLC. The beds were comfortable, but the bathroom was basic and the amenities were limited. Breakfast was good, with plenty to eat and some dishes made to order.

We stayed two nights, and the rooms were fine, but I’m very disappointed with this hotel. We had an afternoon flight, so after checkout they offered to keep our suitcases in a locked, secured room for four hours. It had glass doors, and the only ones with access were the staff member who took our bags there and the front desk. When we returned, our luggage was still locked. Before leaving, we unlocked it after it was brought back and found electronics missing: my $250.00 AirPod pros from my locked backpack, the charger, my perfume, and other electronics. We’d been told the room was safe and that only staff could access it, but someone still got into our things. We had to leave for our flight. The front desk woman said she’d call if anything turned up. We didn’t want to carry these items through the open air markets, especially after being told they’d be safer at the hotel. This makes me worry they could go through guests’ things in the rooms while they’re out too. Next time in Peru I’ll definitely stay at CASA ANDINA. We stayed at one in another city, and they were unbelievably amazing and safe.

The only real drawback was the noise. Breakfast prep starts at 6am and you can hear everything, and work was going on outside my room at 8am. If you need to sleep in, this may not suit you. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean, the showers had great pressure, and all the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a tasty, well-prepared buffet with hot dishes that change daily. There’s also a complimentary taxi to the airport. If anything comes up, tell the staff and they’ll fix it. My issue was extremely minor.
