Cusco Plaza Nazarenas

We spent one night in the triple bed room before an early flight. We asked about laundry and were told it couldn't be done by that evening, which was fine, so we found another place that could wash and dry our clothes. When they brought the bags to the hotel, the receptionists angrily berated the laundry women, wouldn't let them leave the clothes, and wouldn't even let them wait for us in the lobby. That treatment was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend staying here, whether for a short visit or a longer stay in Cusco.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was clean and centrally located. Breakfast was simple but good. The hotel also offers wash, dry, and fold laundry the same day for the same price as city laundromats, which was more convenient for us. Our clean room had extra blankets and a warm shower, something uncommon at cheaper hotels in Cusco. While we did the Inca trail, staff let us leave our luggage there for a few days at no charge.

Livia was such a kind, patient, and helpful host, and the staff were super friendly. The hotel is well located and breakfast was nice, with fresh scrambled eggs made to order. Being able to store our bags for free after checkout was really useful. The rooms are simple, there's no heating, and the bathrooms could be better maintained. Still, cleaning and hot water were okay. At reception there's free hot water with coca leaves, which helps keep you warm and ease soroche symptoms. Peruvians are generally muy amables, and I had a lovely time in town.

Be careful booking through their website. I made reservations on two separate occasions, one at this hotel and one at their other Saphy. Both times I was charged, but when I arrived there was no room available and they refused to refund me.
