Hostal Boulevard

It’s very affordable, so don’t come expecting luxury. The rooms were clean, with private bathrooms and good wifi, and it’s really close to the main square. I stayed before driving from Peru to Argentina and left my car right outside the hostel overnight. No problems at all.

The location is right in the center, and the rooms were clean, with hot water in the shower. The staff were really friendly and helped us arrange a tour. We gave it four stars because there was no internet in the rooms, and wifi only worked sometimes in the common areas. We had to find another place to work from.

I was happy with the accommodation and the complimentary breakfast, and booked a Nazca Lines flight tour for the next morning soon after arriving. My bus from Lima was unexpectedly delayed, so I sent a quick email to say I wouldn’t reach Nazca until after 10 PM. They were kind enough to pick me up at the terminal on time. I could hear singing outside my window late into the night, which was a bit disappointing, but it didn’t seem to disturb my sleep. Thanks to Maria and the gentleman whose name I couldn’t remember!

The hostel was clean, with calm, spacious common areas, and we could cook a little. Breakfast is included, served on whichever floor you choose between 8 and 9 am. The sun, and the rooster, set the pace for getting some rest. Reception staff were incredibly kind. José patiently explained the excursion options, including Nazca Lines viewpoints and Cahuachi, and we even ran into him again at El Cruz bus station. Richard took us on the tours and was kind, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. He speaks English and Spanish, plus a little French, and has a big heart. We couldn’t take the Nazca Lines flight because rain had damaged the airport, but Richard’s tours more than made up for it. The Textile Museum is a must-see! There’s a restaurant on the square for 10 soles (2 red stars) worth trying. The hostel is close to the bus station, restaurants, mini-markets, the market, and pharmacies. Thank you for such an incredible welcome. We spent two incredible nights and three days in Nazca!
