For someone traveling alone or trying to spend as little as possible, this is a good option. The views from outside the rooms on the second and third floors are amazing, but the rooms themselves are rough. My carpet was nasty, and there are no heaters, so it was really cold. Still, it's a pretty cheap hostel. We were traveling with a baby and could afford somewhere much better, so we moved to another hostel.

The rooms are cheap, the place is clean, the staff are nice, and the location is right by Cusco's main plaza. It's an older hostel, though, so don't expect new facilities.

The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the atmosphere quiet. It's simple and modest, but comfortable, and the staff are very attentive. Among the hostels near Lima's main square, I found it the best value for money. Plaza de Armas is just a block away, and restaurants, agencies, currency exchange offices, and everything else are less than five minutes away. The manager is attentive to everyone, and they'll store your luggage free if you stay with them again.
