Hotel Casablanca

Our room was spacious and comfortable enough, and they gave us plenty of coca tea for when the altitude was getting to us. The hotel is also well located, not too far from Plaza de Armas. Breakfast could be a bit slow, but otherwise it was a great hotel.

The hosts were helpful and even offered coca tea, and we slept comfortably with the portable heater. It was 3 C degrees outside overnight, and the bathroom window in our room faced outdoors, so keeping the bathroom door shut helped. There was also a large gap between our bathroom and the one next door, big enough for us to see each other’s bathroom lights. I told the hotel after checking out, and they said they would fix it. The walls were thin enough that we could hear people talking in the next room. The price and hospitality were good, and the location was exactly what I wanted, just minutes from the main road to the town square, the rail station to Machu Picchu, San Pedro market, and small local restaurants with non-tourist prices. I’d still recommend it if they address those exposure issues. The bed was comfortable.

Good budget price, and you can walk to the main plaza. The marketplace is close too. Great hotel.

The room had distinctive walls and lighting inspired by Inca culture. Nice hotel, though there were no windows and the beds felt stiff.
