Sonesta Hotel Cusco

The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Wanchaq train station, where we stayed after visiting Machu Picchu. We were welcomed by a calm atmosphere and some delicious complimentary tea. Our room was clean, well kept, and in great condition. The friendly staff were attentive, so we had no trouble during our stay. You can walk to the historical center to see museums and experience the local culture. We highly recommend it for a visit to Cusco.

The hotel has a warm, peaceful feel and is close to the center. The staff were polite and professional, and made us feel valued from check-in through check-out. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern decor, a large bathroom, and a bed that helped us recover after a long day. Breakfast was fantastic, with freshly squeezed juices, lots of cheeses, olives and pastries, plus hot options to get the day started.

Having tea ready at reception was such a comfort. Every time I came back, I could have a warm drink, and I loved the bathtub in my spotless room. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and polite, and breakfast was amazing too. Sonesta helped me get through a tough trip in Peru. Thank you so much!!!

After a 15 hour day trip, I could hardly wait to get into bed. The beds felt like falling into clouds, and I drifted off thinking about the clouds I’d seen that day in Machu Picchu. Maybe that sounds a bit soppy, but it’s true, and not a dream. The buffet breakfast at Sonesta was the best I’ve ever had, and all the staff were just lovely. It’s right in the heart of Cusco.
