We arrived at 5am and had trouble getting a room because we don't speak Spanish. The staff only speak Spanish, and they're there from 7am to 3pm. The rooms were very cold at night in early April, and there was no heater or hair dryer. The beds are very basic, though fine if you don't mind that. Breakfast was limited to bread, coffee, tea, fruit, and eggs, and it didn't seem hygienic to me, which affected my rating. The coffee itself was good. They only take cash. A traveler friend told me the hostel nearby was much cheaper and had a good breakfast, though I haven't stayed there.

Mrs. Carmen was lovely and made us a delicious breakfast. Melva also welcomed us kindly with coca tea and showed us our room. Edward, who picked us up at the airport, seemed angry and rushed, and drove very fast on the way to the hotel. —

The place has a great location, a nice lady, and a good breakfast with an amazing view. The bed was good and it was quiet at night. I also liked how the tree grows into different parts of the hostel, nICE! The rooms look old and the kitchenette is very basic. The bathroom needs paint, and the shower kept swinging between too hot and too cold. Nice place, but it needs renovations or a lower price.

Carmen, the woman in charge, is caring and really attentive. The top floor has a fantastic view, and the place feels welcoming and comfortable. It's very cheap. The rooms aren't amazing, but they're perfectly okay, and you can cook there and stay for a few days.

The room was dark and dirty, and there was no housekeeping. The kitchen had neither a pot nor hot water. When I arrived, they put me in a different room at another location, far from the plaza de armas. The photos are misleading, so be careful with this hostel. You could get caught out.
