Imperial Cusco Hospedaje Santiago

We'd definitely come back. The hotel is handy for Centro Artesanal Cusco, in a quiet, safe area, and the staff are consistently friendly and willing to help with anything. Breakfast had plenty of food and drink choices and was always nicely laid out. For guests with early tours, they set it up extra early and even packed us breakfast to go.

Breakfast was something I enjoyed, but I'd want a different room next time. We came in the cold season and the heaters didn't work. The sheets seemed clean, but ours were stained. For two of us, they first put us in a room with four twin beds, which felt awkward, so we moved the following day. It was a mixed experience.

The room was clean, the beds were made, and there were no odd smells or other unpleasant surprises. Breakfast is fairly traditional Peruvian food, and it was okay. The internet was usable, but typical Peruvian internet, nothing I'd pay extra for, which suits the price. It's worth a visit, though I found it funny that free oxygen is advertised and the sign mentions a coffee shop that's not included. There's a standard hotel computer in the lobby.

The upper floor rooms have an impressive view, and the breakfast was great. My room was comfortable and clean, with a hot shower, though it can get chilly in June and the small space heater didn't do much. Staff are friendly and most speak pretty good English, which helped since my Spanish is weak. Attractions and amenities are easy to reach on foot. My wife and I will stay at the Imperial again. My occasional work in Peru is usually in remote places, so this felt very nice by comparison.
