Katari Apart Hotel at Qorikancha

Alex has been a great host so far, sharing lots of information about cusco and the sites. We’re only a couple of days into our stay, but we’re loving it. Our room is beautiful, with a lovely balcony view and a very big bed, which is great because my partner is tall. Breakfast has been amazing, too. There are plenty of good places within an easy walk, and I can’t fault the place.

After a five-day hike, we had a really restful stay here. The heating worked perfectly, so we could finally warm up and relax, especially after our last place in Cusco had no proper heating. The location is great, there’s everything you need, the staff were incredibly helpful, and we loved breakfast, which was practically brought to our bed. Two things to consider: the beds in the Standard Double Room are a bit short, around 1.80m, so tall travelers may not be comfortable. There was also very little room for our bags, so it may be tight if you have a lot of luggage.

Alex manages the hotel and was friendly, dependable, and quick to answer my questions. The service was above and beyond, and breakfast was excellent. The price was good, too. My room had a small kitchen and a balcony looking over a green area, and the rooms were comfortable. The location is handy for many sites: it’s about 5-10 minutes on foot to Plaza de Armas, less than a block from Qorikancha, and next door to a rail office. I highly recommend Katari Apart Hotel, Cuzco, Peru!

We stayed as a family of five and had plenty of space, plus a kitchen we hadn’t expected. The location was perfect, close to the main square but far enough away to stay quiet at night. Whenever we needed something, it arrived within five minutes. I mean that literally. The service was better than at most hotels I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was complimentary, delivered to the room whenever we wanted, and better than any I’ve had, comparable to a high-end restaurant. This is an amazing hotel. You won’t be disappointed.
