La Casona De Luisa

We had a fantastic stay on both visits, before and after the Inca Trail. Elizabeth is an amazing host and takes such good care of her guests. The rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent, and the location is perfect, about a five-minute walk from Plaza De Armas. I'd highly recommend staying here in Cusco.

Elizabeth was such a kind and helpful host, and the stay was very comfortable. They kept our bags while we were on the Inca Trail. Breakfast was great, eggs, bread with jam, fruit, and coffee or tea. Good facilities, a perfect location, and great value for money. Highly recommend it in Cusco.

We all loved this guest house, including my two children. We came through Cusco twice and stayed here both times. It's a quiet place with just a handful of rooms, not a party hostel, and we could relax and feel at home. From here, we could walk anywhere we wanted to go, with everything only a few blocks away. Elisabeth was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were sparkling clean and nicely decorated. There are two shared living rooms, one with a TV, plus a small rooftop balcony. Breakfast was freshly made in the morning and really yummy.

The host was kind enough to wait when I missed breakfast nearly every day because I was sick, and still offered it at 10am. It's bread rolls with jam, cooked eggs, and coffee or tea. They were also very responsive on WhatsApp, and I managed a few short conversations using Google Translate without any trouble. I stayed on my own. The entrance isn't clearly marked, though my Uber driver knew the right doorway. The owners were friendly and showed me to a clean room; the sheets and towels smelled freshly washed. The room is basic but has what you need, with a comfortable bed and lots of blankets to keep warm. My room faced the main road, and the single pane glass let in plenty of noise. If you've been in Peru for a while, you kind of get used to it. The floorboards creak a lot, so I could hear other guests moving around at all hours, and it often woke me, whether it was 3am wake-ups for rainbow mountain or someone coming from the pub at 1am. Hot water faded in and out a bit. The host said showers should be quick after 10pm and before 4am because the water comes from a limited tank at those times. Sheets and towels were changed every two days, and the room was cleaned daily with toiletries topped up. There are nice shared spaces, including a main lounge and kitchen, and an upstairs lounge with a TV and small rooftop terrace. Guests can use the fridge and microwave to store and heat meals.
