La Posada del Viajero

The location is only a 2-minute walk from Plaza De Armas, yet tucked down a small inshot where it stays peaceful despite the busy historic center. For the price, the rooms and attentive staff are hard to beat in Cusco's Historic center. It's a real gem. I'll be sad to leave, since it's rare to find this kind of quality at this price.

Suly was amazing during our week in Cusco, sharing great tips for local resteraunt and tours, chatting with us regularly, and helping when my partner wasn't well. The rooms are always clean, and YouTube on the TV was a bonus. It's very close to the square, with cafes and resteraunts all around. I'd reccomended staying here to anyone.

We stayed one night with breakfast, a couple aged 50+. Breakfast was OK, and our room was clean and cozy, with everything we needed in the bathroom. It was very good value for money. The staff were the best part: always smiling, helpful, and ready to lend a hand. They also let us leave our luggage while we took a two-day trip to Machu Picchu. Tea, coffee, and coca leaves were available any time of day.

Our room was spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds, and the location near plaza de armas made it easy to get around. The shower was hot in the mornings but only warm by evening. The building itself has a few design flaws, but the people working there were wonderful. Everyone we met at reception, in housekeeping, and in the kitchen was friendly and quick to help, and they really made the week for us. Breakfast was simple and tasty, with fresh-squeezed orange juice, cereal, breads, and hot dishes cooked in small batches. There were different egg dishes, potatoes, mini pancakes, and a delicious ricoto chili sauce. We even asked for some recipes before leaving. The dining room is on the top floor, with a huge window overlooking the city, and you can sit there during the day too. Tea was always available, and the shared kitchen, though small, was kept very clean. We loved our stay.
