The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Plaza de Armas, or a taxi there costs around 5 soles. There are little shops and a pharmacy nearby, and at the end of the street there's a market called Mercado de SantaRoza, the same name as the hostel's neighborhood. There's parking on the corner, owned by the hotel owner, and we paid 5 soles per day. Breakfast is simple but nicely done. Guests can use a microwave, stove, and fridge. Our double room with bathroom and hot shower cost 70 soles.

The service was terrible. I had paid for my reservation, but when I arrived every room was occupied. They moved me to another room, then took my belongings out without asking so they could give me that room. There was no water at night, the Wi-Fi was slow, and the bedding looked dirty.

For the price, it's a decent hotel: clean, safe, and in a good location. They only provide the basics, though, so don't expect much.

It's a good place and I'd have given it five stars, but one night after renting a room I lifted the sheets before getting into bed and found a lot of blood. It could have been from a woman on her period.

Clean, comfortable, inexpensive, and centrally located. The only issue was the water heater, which didn't work properly. The water kept changing from lukewarm to cold, and paying for cold water didn't feel worthwhile.
