Cusco's location was great, close to just about everything. We had a private room with its own bathroom and shower, and for a very cheap stay it was okay, though nothing special. The sheets didn't seem very fresh, the toilet seat was broken, and hot water was only available at certain times. Even then, it took about ten minutes to warm up, and after that the shower might be hot, lukewarm, or somewhere between cold and warm. There were no towels or breakfast, we had to handle our own garbage, and we didn't really find any shared spaces. Knowing all that, I'd recommend it if you're on a budget, but I wouldn't stay longer than two days. Five days was too much.

The owner was kind of funny. After my 44-hour flight, I was told the room I'd booked wasn't available, but she offered a larger one at the same rate. Cold air kept coming through the window even after I shut it, and it was freezing. AccuWeather said the temperature had dropped to 1 degree Celsius. There was no heater, just a thin blanket, so I slept bundled up in thick layers and hugging myself. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
