The staff were so lovely, and breakfast was very good. I spent a week here and slept really well in the cozy room and comfortable bed. I’d happily come back.

The staff were the highlight, really wonderful. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet was enough. The location was good too, though there was some street noise.

Our room was right next to reception, and a bathroom window or vent opened onto the lobby. We could hear everything and didn’t feel we had any privacy. The staff were welcoming, and the location was convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk from the old town. I think we’d have had a different stay in another room.

The location made getting around easy. There’s a bus stop in front, with cheap, easy rides to museums like Q'enqo and SacSaywaman. El Sol Ave is two blocks north, Coricancha Museum is close by, and Waqchaq Train Station is two blocks down. A market and supermarket are just steps away, with good, cheap things to buy. The rooms were nice, with hot water at the shower and sink. Breakfast is a buffet, and if you leave early they’ll pack a box with water and snacks.

We had a terrible stay in Cusco. At check-in, the woman in the lobby said we hadn’t paid, despite the receipt email they had sent, and wanted to charge around $700 extra for the four days, on top of what we’d already paid per room. We argued back and forth for an hour before she found our paid reservation. Once it was sorted, she was very helpful with advice on where to eat, what to avoid, and places nearby that could be dangerous. The rooms looked fine at first, but the lights went out every morning while we were getting ready for tours. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable for someone used to a softer bed, and we could hear everything in the other rooms. Some employees seemed unhelpful and unaware of what was happening at the hotel. Be prepared to carry your own luggage up a couple of flights of stairs, since no staff member offered to help. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
