The hostel is new, and that’s the only good thing about it. The shared bathroom is tiny and dirty, the water absolutely freezing, and the room cold and dark. Service was so-so. The guys were friendly, but the owner seemed like the opposite. We were the only guests, paid every day, and were responsible and quiet. We stayed only because they let us keep our dog. She’s really well behaved, doesn’t make noise, and you’d hardly notice she’s there. She behaved better than many people we met on the trip. And they kicked us out because we had a pet, even though they have a dog upstairs that’s always barking and making noise. That’s discrimination. Peru still has a lot to learn. Well, we didn’t lose our only income. They did. Good luck, friends!
