The rooftop was a highlight, with spectacular views and good food and drinks. The activities coordinator was creative and engaging, and the staff were fun, helpful, and accommodating. There are lots of plants inside, plus cozy little corners for studying or working, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean with filtered water. The location is convenient, near the old historic district. I had a great stay at The Secret Garden and highly recommend it.

Carla is a fantastic host, and they let us leave our bags there while we were in Machu picchu. The guest house is well maintained and in a lovely, quiet location.

It’s a little uphill, about two blocks from the main square, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group has mobility limitations. The distance is more than worth it for the peace and quiet. Vilma, the owner, is incredibly kind and really deserves to be called a living treasure of Peru. Highly recommended.
