Hotel Las Lomas

The location is handy, near the main square, the market, and other places. But for 110 soles a night for a double during Holy Week, it felt way overpriced. The rooms had old furniture and the bathroom was dusty. They supplied one hotel soap, one roll of toilet paper, and one towel, so I had to ask reception for another for my partner. The TV was dated, with only a few local channels and no YouTube or Netflix. The exterior looked fairly elegant, with its windows and waiting area, but the rooms seemed to be made of wood or something similar rather than concrete, so we heard snoring and music from next door. It was noticeable in the shower too. Don't be taken in by the photos or pay a high rate for what's offered.

The rooms are comfortable and affordable, and the place matches the photos. A single room for one person costs 60 soles, while a double is 70. It's very close to the main square of Constitución.

The rooms are so close that sounds carry through the bathrooms, which was the one drawback. We paid 70 for a double room with a TV, a shower with hot water, and a tap, and the service was good. After checkout, they stored our bags in a small room. When we came back, they let us sit in the lobby, charge our phones, and finish packing for the trip home.

For double room 206, the hot water was real, which was welcome in the cold, and both Wi-Fi and cable worked well. The cable only had Latina, which isn't great. The receptionists were friendly, and Chinese restaurants plus a vegetarian place are nearby.
