Staying with Ms. Rosa and her son Francisco feels like being at home in another country. I've been to Huaraz many times and stayed with them more than ten times. They're wonderful people who have helped me on all my trips, including arranging transport, food, and high mountain guides.

Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade jams, and our clean room was quiet with a hot shower. We were at the back, where the Wi-Fi wasn't so good, though it worked fine in the house. We got a warm welcome, and the town and square weren't far away. We stayed two nights and would come back.

The hosts were so kind, and this family-run place was a great choice for the price. Our room was clean, the location was good, and there was an outdoor area too. They were flexible about storing our luggage and letting us use the common areas all day after checkout.
