Hotel Miski Tayta

The room was small and noisy, with people shouting in the hallways, and the hotel rooms are cold, so bring warm sleep clothes and jumpers. Breakfast wasn't good, though the eggs were tasty, so plan to eat elsewhere. They mostly speak only a little English, especially at reception, where one man speaks it. For a solo woman, I felt safe here. You can go out early before your room is ready, and they'll keep your suitcase at the hotel; mine was safe. Check-in is at 12, and you can pay by card or cash. The towels are unusual, and since they're washed daily, you need to ask for them.

We arrived with our reservation confirmation and emails, but the hotel had overbooked and couldn't take us. They apologized, but that didn't help much. The reception bathroom was filthy and smelled bad. We were lucky to find another place that seemed cleaner and nicer.

A cozy, lovely place with friendly staff, and it's well located. For the price, it was definitely worth it.
