I arrived exhausted at 7 a.m. after an overnight trip, expecting the early check-in they'd repeatedly confirmed by phone, email and text after I booked a double room with a sea view well in advance on their website. The doors were locked, and nobody was around. I waited outside for two hours until they opened at 9. Even after I showed the confirmation messages, the front desk said they had no record of my booking. They offered no other room, apology or real help, just shrugged it off. When I asked for the manager, he was rude, raised his voice and blamed me, saying I hadn't "confirmed properly." He took no responsibility and basically told me to leave. I was stranded without a place to stay and had to scramble for a last-minute hotel, costing me extra time and money. The whole thing was frustrating and unprofessional. I absolutely don't recommend this place. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

The kitchen is spacious, and around Christmas it felt like we were all family. I spent Christmas and New Year at this lovely hostel. The staff were sweet, and the rooms were clean and just right for what you need. I couldn't recommend it more.

Good location, nice volunteers and reasonably clean for a hostel. At this price it's hard to beat. But we booked through Booking.com and were told to pay the commission the accommodation is supposed to pay for using the platform, or cancel for free and pay the walk-in price.

The beds are good, and the location works well, close to San Pedro market and about 10 minutes from the main square. You can leave your baggage for 7 days for free. But the service was very poor. Hot water was a matter of luck, and on a couple of evenings there was no water in the kitchen, so we couldn't cook or wash the dishes. The dishes and cutlery were very basic, if they were available at all, or they were hidden by the hostel ownership. There were also very limited hours for using the shower and kitchen.

I volunteered here, and they treated me like shit. When I got so sick I couldn't get out of bed, they got rid of me. They were very disrespectful. The owners are nowhere in sight, and the hostel is run by volunteers, so it's a mess and badly organized. You can't run a hostel like this.
