We kept returning here over about a month while heading out from Cusco for treks and other adventures. It’s a lovely, quiet hostel with good rooms and a nice kitchen, and a handy base for getting organized before going somewhere. Collectivos for Mollepata (Salkantay) and Curahuasi/Cachora (Choquequirao) are nearby, and San Pedro market is a quick walk downhill. It’s not especially social, but it has what you need.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sheets smelled better than any we had in South America. There’s a small balcony area, the kitchen was clean, and the staff were kind. It’s a quiet hostel a little farther out, with a nice walk to the main square. My one gripe was having to ring the bell every time we wanted to get through the front door.

For two people, our private room was just $15 a night, so it was very good value. It was spacious, the beds were clean and warm, the shower was hot, and there was someone at the desk around the clock. The hostel is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the main square, so it isn’t very central. There was some black mold in the shower, which could be a problem if you’re sensitive to it. Overall, we had a great stay for the price.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the showers had consistently hot water and strong pressure. It’s a small, quiet hostel and good value. Our room faced the street, though, so car horns made it very loud early in the morning. The location is also a bit far from the centre.

The blankets and sheets were wonderfully comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It’s a cozy place with friendly staff. I wish there had been more hooks or hangers in the room, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms could be better. Otherwise, a great stay.
