The Hotel Alpamayo Guest House is right on the main Luzuriaga avenue in downtown Huaraz, a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. Banks and ATMs are nearby. Rooms are very comfortable, and visitors can use the kitchen for free. They also offer laundry service and free information about tours in Huaraz. Prices are very affordable and the service is good. I highly recommend the hotel for an unforgettable trip to Huaraz. On your next visit, I invite you to stay here. Sincerely, Wolf.

They let us into the room at 7am when we got to Huaraz, which was really convenient. The room was big and clean, and they helped us with everything we needed.

This hotel is the worst, and so are the receptionists. I don't recommend it. The cleaning wasn't done properly, the sheets weren't changed, and I was even given a comforter with blood stains. I paid for breakfast, but it came quite late even though they knew the tours start early, so I had to skip it to get there. The water situation was no better. They advertise hot water 24 hours a day, but that isn't true. Some days there was no water at all.

A good value, especially for tourists visiting Huaraz. It's close to the main square and avenue, with some very good restaurants at a small roundabout behind the hotel. The service was consistently friendly and attentive, and you can book ahead by phone. Breakfast is included and delicious, and they accept different payment methods. You can arrange accommodation and tour packages to the most popular destinations here. Definitely a good option.

We spent four nights here as a family, and I couldn't get a proper rest on any of them. The rooms were noisy, with drilling and hammering late into the night, plus people drinking and celebrating without following health protocols. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows offered no rest. I'm not expecting luxury, but guests need comfort and peace and quiet, especially when most of the day is spent out sightseeing in this tourist area. Hot water wasn't available on three of the four days. They said this was unusual, but it was what we experienced. Getting into the hotel also means climbing stairs to the second floor, and there was nobody to help with luggage, so you'd need to carry just a backpack. I can't recommend a service that doesn't meet these basic needs.
