The coffee was amazing, and the hot shower was great too. I enjoyed the simple breakfast, especially the homemade jams made with local ingredients like passion fruit. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the space was beautiful, unusual, and comfortable. The name really undersells it, I never could have imagined a place like this. It’s in one of the few quiet, clean parts of the city, with a nice little restaurant just down the street that made the experience even better.

The guest house is close to Huacachina, and since it’s away from the buggy noise, we slept really well. We met very nice people there, and the place felt just perfect. Our room was big, with a hot shower and good wifi, and there was a beautiful outdoor area with a swimming pool. We had the best breakfast since we arrived, with fresh juice and such good homemade jam. The woman who runs the guest house spent a lot of time helping us find a bus, since things were very busy at that moment. We had a really good time there.

We only meant to stay one night, but my wife got food poisoning, which we think came from a salad at the chicken restaurant in Ice. We ended up stuck in the room for the next 24 hours. The owners were so helpful: they quickly rearranged reservations so we could keep the same room another night, helped me change our bus tickets to the next day, and assured me my wife could easily see a doctor if her symptoms got worse. When I asked for help with the tickets, they had already made her a simple vegetable broth because she hadn’t eaten since the day before. Dream House is run by the most caring, hospitable people I’ve met while traveling. We arrived early to drop off our bags, and the room was ready an hour and a half ahead of check-in. The woman who welcomed us spoke little English, and our Spanish was poor, but she was warm and eager to help us settle in and find lunch. After a day at Huacachina, we came back with takeout. The other owner invited us to eat by the pool and made us a blended pisco sour. After a hectic evening in central Ica, it was lovely to have a calm place with friendly people. We hadn’t met many hospitable people elsewhere in the city. The B&B was clean and modern, with a breezy Mediterranean feel. Our room was simple, nice, and clean. The shower had hot water, though it took a good 3-5 minutes to warm up. When we could finally check out the next morning or afternoon, they made us breakfast even though it was well past breakfast time. They also let us leave our bags and hang out by the pool while we waited for our 9pm bus. Thank you so much!

A cozy, nice hotel with complete service, in a good spot with nice restaurants nearby.

My fiance lost her ring, but the staff found it and returned it. They’re very honest people!
