Serenity Lodge

The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and great to deal with. The building also looks good, with antiques around and a pool, though we couldn’t use it because of the opening hours. Our room was okay, but the shower pressure was almost nonexistent and the water swung between scalding and cold. The location is away from the main street, so it may be quieter, but getting a taxi everywhere was a hassle. We walked in the heat, which wasn’t pleasant.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and breakfast is beautifully set up and well maintained. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Our host was especially useful during check-in and while we planned activities in Huacachina. We got in an hour early and could stay on the premises until 9 PM to catch our night bus. I’d absolutely recommend staying here!

My kids were thrilled to play with the farm animals and dogs, and I loved wandering through the lovely garden and seeing all the plants and antiques. Everyone made us feel welcome. It’s a peaceful place just a few minutes from Huacachina, and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended :)

Oscar, our taxi driver, was incredibly kind. The house has charm and the place has potential, but that didn’t make up for our experience. The rooms are cute, and the pool area looks nice, though we couldn’t really relax there because a worker was digging a trench about 2m away with very loud music on. I messaged reception to ask if they could turn it down, especially as we were leaving for town in an hour, but got no reply on WhatsApp. Behind the pool, the stable area was under construction. Four horses were packed into a tiny space, and one was chewing the wooden fence, apparently hungry. 😕
