The food was homegrown and so good, easily among my top five if I could rank it on Beli. In just two nights, I got to see the Amazon by river, both at night and during the day, visit different tribes, and explore the jungle. It really shifted how I think about nature and felt worth every minute. Victor looked after me like a friend, keeping me on time for meals and activities without rushing anything. Juan Miguel was just as welcoming, like family in the Amazon. They take care of everything once you fly into Iquitos. Bring some old clothes if you want to trade with the tribes for souvenirs.

Such a relaxing place to enjoy both the culture and the natural surroundings. Miguel was a wonderful host, and the staff were excellent. I definitely recommend it!

The tours were a fun mix of variety, excitement, and a little intimidation, haha, and Ricardo was knowledgeable and helpful all weekend. I also loved the fresh food, some of the best meals I had in Peru. Ursula, Juan Miguel, and their family made us feel so welcome. They’ve made a little paradise in the Amazon, with comfortable cabanas that have as much equipment as you can expect in the jungle. There’s a pool with a slackline and swim-up bar, where they serve tasty local snacks and refreshing cocktails. They also do a lot for local communities and wildlife, which makes the ecotourism feel real. I stayed for a weekend and was surprised by how comfortable it was while exploring the Amazon.

The balcony looking down at the Rio Momon was a lovely spot to unwind, and the local chefs made very nice meals. There are three meals each day, with tea and coffee available anytime, plus a bar and snacks by the clean rainwater pool. The pool also has a shallow section for little children. The nine spacious cabins have private toilets and showers, and the place is tucked deeper in the jungle near the indigenous village of Porvenir. There’s plenty to do, including boating, fishing, mud baths, yoga, group retreats, and walks at night or dawn to hear forest birds. Some activities suit teenagers too. Massage, angel tarot cards, and ayahuasca ceremonies are available on special demand. Friendly pets and monkeys may come by to check on you. Highly recommended if you want a special break from the city, and I think it’s worth the price.

We had a lovely four days and three nights at Amazon garden. We went fishing, swam in the amazon, and visited native tribes. Dexter, our tour guide, was really friendly and knew a lot about the jungle. We’ll definitely come back and tell others about this place.
