Huayruro Hostal

The room was okay, but the water pressure was weak and there was barely any hot water. Breakfast was mentioned, but we didn't get any.

The breakfast was nice, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with AC and hot water. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. It isn't especially quiet, though earplugs did the trick for us. The airport pickup arrangement was uncomfortable. The driver was friendly at first, then brought us to his travel agency to pitch expensive jungle tours. We declined, and he drove us to the hotel. Once there, he and the hotel asked us to pay for the taxi, despite the hotel having said the transfer was included. It seemed like the hotel and driver had a business partnership. The sales approach felt strange and somewhat intimidating.

We only stayed one night, but the quiet room and delicious breakfast made it a really enjoyable stop. The location was excellent too. I'd happily stay here again.

This is a friendly, clean place with comfortable private rooms and AC. Since every room is private, it doesn't feel very social. The rooms have no windows facing outside, but that wasn't a problem for a stay of just a day or two.
