My reservation at Casa Barymar was made nearly six months ahead, but I had to cancel after I needed to add another night and the hotel had no availability. With so much time before check-in, the room could likely be booked again at the same price or even more, so I don't see why enforcing the booking without any flexibility makes sense. It feels inconsiderate and like poor business practice, since cancelling this far in advance doesn't seem likely to cost the hotel a booking.

The hosts were so kind and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, the shower stayed hot, and the air conditioning kept things cool. The townhouse hotel is in a safe, handy part of the city, within walking distance of nice restaurants and attractions. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

They let me check in at 7am after my overnight flight and stay until my 8pm overnight bus, which was incredibly kind. The hotel is clean and sits right by the waterfront park. I also loved its charming vernacular architecture, the kind that's disappearing elsewhere in Miraflores.

Carmen and Alan made my two-night stay feel like being with family. Carmen was always available with ideas and help arranging activities around the city, and Alan had a nice breakfast ready each morning. The rooms are beautiful and the location is super convenient, but those two are the reason to stay. Thank you, Carmen and Alan. I’ll miss you and hope we meet again! 💛

The only little snag was the shower, where the hot water took ages to reach the right temperature. Otherwise the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff helpful and nice, and the place was quiet, close to the sea, and an easy walk from central Miraflores.
